This quarter marked two key milestones in advancing agricultural transformation across the continent.
In April, stakeholders from across Africa convened in Lomé, Togo, for a South–South learning event co-hosted with WFP. The event provided space for practical knowledge exchange on strengthening delivery mechanisms, celebrating progress, and aligning on next steps to deepen impact at country level.
At the same time, Tanzania formalized the transition of its Agricultural Transformation Office (ATO) to AGRA. This strategic move is aimed at institutionalizing a delivery culture, enhancing sustainability, and ensuring closer alignment with national priorities. The ATO will now leverage AGRA’s expertise and networks to better coordinate and drive flagship programmes that accelerate agricultural transformation in the country.
These developments reflect AATI’s continued commitment to country-led, results-driven systems that can unlock Africa’s full agricultural potential.
